FARNHAM IN BLOOM

The Patio Black Spot Removal Company, have been proud sponsors of Farnham in Bloom since 2013, becoming Principal Sponsors in 2021. Our support gave the local community a much-needed boost, following lockdown, and was endorsed, as such, by Iain Lynch, Farnham Town Clerk, who said: “We are delighted to welcome The Patio Black Spot Removal Company as our new Principal sponsor. Having them on board gives us the green light to throw ourselves into making 2021 a bountiful year for Farnham in Bloom,” says Iain Lynch, Town Clerk at Farnham Town Council, the organisers of Farnham in Boom. “Planning for this year’s in bloom activities started in 2020. Despite the winter doom and gloom, having sponsorship in place early on gave us the confidence to think bold and big for 2021, and lots of work has already been done. Volunteers and our outside workforce have been nurturing our bedding plants since early spring so once the weather allows, shoppers and residents will soon see them planted up in troughs and hanging baskets.” Support helps to fund activities involving schools and social groups, in and around Farnham, in everything from planting seeds , through garden care and producing exhibits for the Annual Final Awards evening, in October each year. The Company donated trees and plants from our Award Winning stand at Chelsea RHS 2022, to the beautiful Space2grow project, a hidden oasis of peace in the centre of Farnham. This is a non-judgemental, supportive space where participants of all ages and abilities can take part in a range of activities. The warmth of this healing garden soothes anxieties and supports people as they overcome adversity. In 2020 , South and South East in Bloom competition saw judges awarding Farnham in Bloom Gold in the large town category, Gold in the town centre, Gold for Badshot Lea Cemetery and Gold for Gostrey Meadow – with space2grow also winning an ‘outstanding’ award in the It’s Your Neighbourhood category. - more awards will surely follow in 2022!
