Patio Black Spot Preventer should be applied within 11-12 months of using the Patio Black Spot Remover for Artificial stone. The best time to apply the Preventer is in spring or early summer. The Preventer can be used on brand new stone within 6 months of installation.
Yes, the Remover can be used on stone of any age. On older stone, re-treating will be required as the stains become harder to remove as they’ve had longer to establish themselves. Carry out a trial slab first to check how many applications are required BEFORE proceeding with the rest of the area.
White spots are very common on paving slabs which have not been cleaned in several years. They can be very stubborn to remove even when pressure washing. Apply Patio Black Spot Remover for Artificial Stone, wait for two hours and lightly pressure wash. When you pressure wash these white spots will be removed.
Yes, the Remover can be used on all types of man-made or pre-cast paving slabs.

Pressure washing becomes less effective over time due to different types of growth that grows on your patio throughout the year. Stone can be porous and absorb some of this growth leaving behind stubborn stains. Some organism’s grow during wet periods, such as algae. Most patios in the United Kingdom suffer from algae, lichen and moss at different times of the year. This can cause stubborn staining on your patio that pressure washing will not remove.
If you have stubborn black spots on your patio, you should use Patio Black Spot Remover as soon as possible. The longer you leave these stains, the harder they can be to remove. Patio Black Spot Remover will work on stone of any age. Re-treating can be required. Do not use when the temperature is less than five degrees.

Yes. If you spray the product directly onto your stone and avoid neat product coming into contact with plants and grass, no harm will be caused. The runoff, once diluted is fine to be washed into your flower beds and over the lawn.

Yes, our products can be used on your house. We use this product on client's properties all the time. As you're treating a vertical surface, we would recommend applying the product using the same sprayer BUT applying 2-3 light applications (leaving 15-20 seconds in between treatments) so the product doesn't run off. If you apply too much at once, the product will run off and not be very effective.
The 2 Litre container is the cheapest way to test the product. You can get 10% off your first order by subscribing and delivery is free of charge. If you apply it correctly, it will restore the colour and remove all the stubborn staining. It may need more than one treatment if it's an old surface, but it will remove all the spots. In 12 years, we haven't come across a patio we can't remove all the spots from. We recommend concentrating on one slab first until you have removed all the spots before proceeding with the rest of the area.

1. Use neat – DO NOT DILUTE – Pour our solution into a pneumatic garden sprayer. (A ‘Hozelock’ 5L or 7L sprayer is recommended. Do not use a hand sprayer.) Pressurise the sprayer.
2. Apply the product to a dry surface, as a fine mist and saturate the surface.
3. If you have not used the product before. Treat just one slab first. The older the stone, the more treatments it will require. The product will remove every single last spot. By completing one slab first, this will give you an indication of how many treatments your stone will require. Only when you have removed all the black spots from the first slab, continue with the rest of the area.
4. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED COVERAGE OF 5 SQM PER EACH 1L OF PRODUCT.
5. Once applied, allow to cure for a period of 2 hours.
6. Remove using a pressure washer, ideally with a minimum flow of 7 litres per minute. Use the fan jet attachment to sweep the dirt away. Other attachments such as circular spinning attachments will not give you the best results.
7. Any black spots that remain, simply retreat (when the surface is dry) allow to cure for 1 hour then wash off.
8. Repeat this process until no black spots remain.
9. Apply the Patio Black Spot Preventer 12 months later. Do not seal the patio.
Exceeding the recommended coverage rate will reduce the performance of this product. Coverage will vary depending on surface porosity and profile, e.g when treating sloping areas or riven surface, beware of surface run off and retreat as necessary to ensure correct coverage.
The Patio Black Spot Remover is quickly and readily biodegradable. The effluent if washed into soil, flower beds or lawn will breakdown rapidly. This product will not affect surrounding lawns or foliage in diluted state. Keep animals and unprotected persons off the treated area until dry.
Ensure product doesn’t come into contact with skin, eyes or respiratory tract. In the event product does comes into direct contact with the body, immediately rinse with water. Ensure this product does not come into contact with fabrics or furnishings.
